Seminars & Symposia
As well as an active programme of temporary exhibitions alongside our permanent displays, MoLI will present regular seminars and symposia throughout the year, both in collaboration with external partners and our parents in UCD and the National Library.
Revolutionary Readers: 1919 and Beyond
In a time of political upheaval, does literature matter? To accompany our opening exhibition on The State and Irish Writing, MoLI presented this symposium jointly organised by the museum, UCD and the National Library of Ireland on 17 January 2020.
Shh! We Have a Plan: A deadly serious symposium on the playful art of children’s literature
Join us Friday, 5 November, from 1.30pm-6pm, for Shh! We Have a Plan: A Deadly Serious Symposium on the Playful Art of Children’s Literature. The symposium will feature interviews and panel discussions with children’s picturebook illustrators and writers – such as Chris Haughton, Daishu Ma & Jon Klassen – as well as industry professionals and academics.
